Please join us in welcoming Denise Prefontaine to CUIIC as a Technical Writer. Denise was born and spent her early years in Birkenhead, England. Her family emigrated to Canada in 1974, settling in Edmonton where she completed her schooling. Denise attended the University of Alberta earning an undergraduate degree BA (Recreation Administration) followed by an MBA. Denise enjoyed a long, successful career with the City of Edmonton where she focused on improving the community’s quality of life through facilitating, developing, and managing recreation facilities, open spaces, tourist attractions, and programs. Since retiring in 2019, she has used skills gained through her career and extracurricular studies to support not-for-profit agencies and private companies in writing and editing grant applications, reports, proposals, and articles for publication. She has also enjoyed the opportunity retirement brings to travel and spend quality time with her family and dog. While happily retired, Denise was very impressed by CUIIC and by how much the organization has accomplished since its inception. This inspired her to re-enter the workforce and she is looking forward to supporting CUIIC’s ongoing development and its innovation, education, and research endeavours.
On behalf of CUIIC and its Members, welcome to Canadian Underground Infrastructure Innovation Centre. Comments are closed.
