The Canadian Underground Infrastructure Innovation Centre (CUIIC) invites nominations for its committees and subcommittees for the current term. If your organization is a proud member of CUIIC and you're passionate about collaborating with fellow experts in the underground infrastructure field to advance education and research in critical areas, we encourage you to consider active participation in one of our dynamic committees. ** Nomination form can be found at the bottom of this page. ** For those organizations not yet part of our community, we extend a warm invitation to join this initiative and play a pivotal role in driving industry progress. To discover more about the roles and responsibilities of committee members, please refer to the CUIIC Governance Handbook. The following committees/subcommittees are open for nominations: 1. CUIIC Pipeline Rehabilitation Subcommittee: The Industrial and Membership Committee is looking for members who can represent the interests and perspectives of potential members, including industrial organizations, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, municipalities, and government organizations. Membership will be for a one-year period, with an opportunity to extend to two years. Meetings will be held virtually monthly. The committee oversees membership matters including recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies, and actively collaborates with other CUIIC committees to foster synergy and identify opportunities for joint initiatives. 2. CUIIC Safety Subcommittee: Safety is paramount in underground infrastructure, and our Safety Subcommittee is committed to organizing educational events and activities centred on safety in underground infrastructure construction and rehabilitation. Meetings will be held virtually monthly. The subcommittee will assist with the 2025 Safety Academy planning in Ontario along with bringing more awareness to safety in the industry. Membership selection will be based on diversity and inclusivity across various sectors within the industry. We encourage you to seize this opportunity to make a meaningful impact within CUIIC and the underground infrastructure community. Nominations are now open for these influential roles, and your participation is essential to our collective success. Thank you for your commitment to advancing the underground infrastructure field, and we look forward to welcoming new faces and fresh ideas to our committees. Together, we will shape the future of underground infrastructure in Canada. Comments are closed.
